If your source is a logo that was flattened to JPG at some point, this converter will recover usable vector shapes from it.

An SVG stores shapes, not pixels, so its size depends on how many distinct shapes the artwork contains rather than on its dimensions. A simple logo often produces an SVG smaller than the source JPG and can then be scaled to any resolution from that one file. A detailed illustration contains far more shapes and can produce a larger file. Neither case loses the ability to scale, which is the reason to hold artwork as SVG in the first place.
